the season Summer The lodge sits right in the middle of numerous marked hiking trails, ranging from easy to difficult. There is fishing right across the street.......even the little kids can catch trout with a hook and a worm! Experience the presence of wildlife ...... Bears, pine martens.....elk, deer, bighorn sheep, weasels, chipmonks, coyotes, and millions of mountain birds..... We have visitors come all the way from Europe just to hunt mushrooms ..... we have rare delicacies growing right here! There are indian rock paintings you can hike to, waterfalls, and alpine lakes. What we are about is MAKING MEMORIES.....fabulous memories of the beautiful mountain summers we have here. Even in the heighth of summer, most guests cozy up to a fireplace at night. We have a campfire circle where you can roast marshmallows and weiners in the evening ..... tell stories.....and make new friends. We most usually have a family or two with kids staying. We can arrange special horseback riding adventures for either an hour or two ..... or take a 3 or 4 night horseback treks up in the high country!
